.
Inaugurated in 1920, the ballrooms have hosted personalities of international acclaim, including Albert Einstein, Richard Tucker, Cantor Yossele Rosenblatt, Justice Louis D. Brandeis, Mark Rothko, Sholom Secunda, and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Today the Jewish Center exists as Oholei Torah Educational Institute, the flagship school of Chabad Lubavitch. Extensive renovations were made to restore the former glory of the Ballrooms which now host hundreds of events each year, including the annual International Conference of Chabad Emissaries, Chabad on Campus Shabbatons, and many community events and simchas.
